German Notes exists because there is a real gap between learning German from a textbook and actually using it in Germany. Most courses teach grammar rules but leave students unable to hold a meeting, read a medical report, or navigate a German workplace.
Jile Singh Sorout has lived and worked in Germany since 2016 — including nearly eight years at the German Medical Association, where German was the working language of every meeting, document, and daily interaction. That gap between classroom German and real-world German is one he has experienced, understood, and taught around for close to a decade.
German Notes brings that real-world perspective online. Jile Singh Sorout
Founder & Lead Instructor
Jile lives and teaches in Germany — and has done so since completing his German C1 certification in 2016. For close to eight years he worked for the German Medical Association, where German was not just a subject but the language of every meeting, every document, and every daily interaction. That professional immersion gives him a depth of real-world fluency that no classroom alone can replicate.
Since 2016 he has trained students and professionals across all levels — from complete beginners starting A1 to healthcare workers clearing B2 for hospital placement in Germany. He has been teaching offline and online, and is now bringing that experience fully online to help students from anywhere in the world.

Sanjeev
Co-founder & Senior Instructor
Sanjeev brings a professional background in German business communication and has helped hundreds of IT professionals and nurses navigate the specific language demands of working in Germany. He leads B1–B2 instruction and is the architect of our goal-oriented curriculum that bridges classroom learning and real workplace German.

Every class is taught live. Real questions, real answers, real feedback — not a pre-recorded lecture you can pause and forget.

2015
Arrived in Germany. Began studying the language seriously while living and adapting to German life.
2016
Completed German C1 certification. Began tutoring students and exam candidates one-on-one.
2017
Joined the German Medical Association. German became the daily working language — every meeting, every document, every interaction.
2020
Started teaching online. Students from India and beyond could access authentic, Germany-based instruction from home.
2022
Expanded to structured batch teaching — nurses, doctors, and IT professionals preparing for German language exams.
