Terms of Service

German Notes is an online German language education platform run by Jile Singh Sorout, based in Germany. When you use germannotes.org or enroll in a course, you’re agreeing to these Terms of Service.

We offer live online German classes from A1 to C1, plus placement tests and learning resources. Course formats, schedules, and class sizes are described on our website and may change.

Filling out an enrollment form means you’re asking for a spot, not booking one. Your seat is confirmed only when we send you written confirmation and you complete any payment we ask for. We can decline enrollment requests.

Classes are limited to 12students. If your preferred batch is full, we’ll offer you a place in the next one.

Course fees are in Indian Rupees (INR) unless we say otherwise. You pay in full before the batch starts, unless we’ve agreed to a payment plan in writing. We accept bank transfer, UPI, and other methods we’ll tell you about at enrollment.

• Before the batch starts: you get a full refund if you cancel more than 7 days before the first class, and a 50% refund if you cancel within 7 days of it.
• After the batch starts:no refund once we’ve delivered the first class, except in unusual situations where we choose to make an exception.
• If we cancel: you get a full refund if we cancel or stop a batch before it begins.

We send refunds back to your original payment method within 10 business days.

Classes run on a fixed schedule that we’ll tell you about when you enroll. We can reschedule a single session with at least 24 hours’ notice. If you miss a class, we don’t refund it, but we’ll share the session notes where we can.

Keep your login details private. You’re responsible for everything that happens in your account. If you think someone else has gained access, email us right away at hello@germannotes.org.

You agree not to:

• Share course materials, recordings, or login details with anyone else.
• Record live sessions without our written permission.
• Use our platform for anything illegal or to harass other students.
• Try to break into any part of our systems or into other people’s accounts.

If you break these rules, we may remove you from the course immediately, without a refund.

German Notes owns all course content, including lesson materials, worksheets, recordings, and tests. You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use them for your own learning only. You can’t share or sell them.

German Notes provides language teaching and support. We can’t promise that you’ll pass an exam, get a visa, or find a job. As far as the law allows, our liability is limited to the course fees you’ve paid.

These Terms are governed by Indian law, and only Indian courts can hear disputes about them. If you live in the EU, nothing here takes away the mandatory consumer rights you have under your local law.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data. We follow the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR/DSGVO) for EU residents and India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) for Indian users.

We may update these Terms. We’ll email you about major changes or post a notice on our website. If you keep using our services after we publish changes, you’re accepting the updated Terms.
