German A2

A2.1: Weeks 1-4

What you'll do

A2.1 is where you stop speaking only in the present. Over the first four weeks and seven units you learn to tell someone what happened, from your move to a new city to your first day at work, using the Perfekt and the Präteritum of modal verbs. The dative and the Wechselpräpositionen come in as you describe your flat and where things go, and weil, dass and wenn let you give reasons and opinions instead of short, separate sentences. Every class includes speaking in pairs, so the grammar gets used the same day you learn it.
