A1.1 is where you go from zero to holding a real first conversation. Over four weeks and seven units, you'll learn the German alphabet and pronunciation, introduce yourself with confidence, talk about your family and home, order at a café, and navigate a shop — all while building the grammar foundation (articles, present tense, basic sentence structure) that everything else in German depends on. We don't just hand you a list of grammar rules and move on — every new structure gets used out loud, in the same class you learn it, because a rule you can recite and a sentence you can actually say under pressure are two very different skills. By the end of A1.1, you won't just know these areas of German exist — you'll have used them.

Household items, rooms, colours, and the definite/indefinite article system (der, die, das).
Daily Routine
Everyday verbs, present-tense conjugation, and basic German word order.

Café and restaurant vocabulary, ordering food and drinks, saying what you like and don't like.

Shopping dialogues, prices, sizes, and clothing vocabulary.
