How to learn these words
- Learn each noun with its article: die Station, der Verband, die Spritze. Wrong articles are the first thing patients and colleagues notice.
- Practise the verbs in the Perfekt, because handovers are in the past: Ich habe den Blutdruck gemessen. Der Patient hat die Tablette genommen.
- Say the words out loud with the audio button. On a ward you need to understand them spoken quickly, not only read them.

Frequently asked questions

No. For recognition as a nurse you usually need B1 or B2 (often a care-specific B2 exam), depending on the federal state. A2 is the step in between, and these words make B1 and B2 much easier.
Health and the doctor's visit are standard A2 topics, so words like Fieber, Tablette, Krankenhaus and Sprechstunde are useful in the exam as well as at work.
