Polite German Requests: Könntest / Würdest
Learn how to make polite requests in German. To be polite in German, use Könnten/Könntest or Würden/Würdest instead of direct commands. Mastering polite German expressions is crucial for professional and social communication.
Könnten Sie or Würden Sie (formal). Könntest du or Würdest du (informal).
Put them in position 1 as a question, and the infinitive at the end. Add "bitte" and "mir."

Common mistakes
The infinitive goes to the end, not next to the first verb.
