Frequently asked questions
Phrases for suggesting (Ich schlage vor, dass wir …), agreeing (Das ist eine gute Idee), disagreeing politely (Das finde ich nicht so gut, weil …) and dividing tasks (Ich übernehme …). End with a short summary of the plan.
Agree with your partner before you start and stay with one form. Adults who do not know each other usually say Sie, which is also what the sample dialogues here use.
Say Entschuldigung, können Sie das bitte wiederholen? or Wie meinen Sie das? Asking back is a normal part of conversation and shows the examiners that you can handle the situation.
Around 25 to 30 that you can say without thinking: five for each job (introducing, opinion, agreeing, disagreeing, suggesting) and a few rescue phrases. Better a few you really use than a long list you cannot remember.
